The bad part about living in a city is that riding bikes with children takes serious precautions, like where to ride. We try the path around Audubon Park, but one of us has to walk with Finwe while he rides his trike. If the weather isn't perfect and the stars aren't aligned, Larien can't make it around the whole thing either. So, I end up lingering while Inwe rides ahead with whomever is with me.
Today, I decided that my eldest needed to learn to ride without the training wheels. Phill took her to some parking lot to learn. She's got it. Of course, this only increases the difficulty of taking the kids to ride bikes as I'll want to keep giving her practice. Can someone clone me and grow me instantly to an adult--to at least the age of 20.
Apologies for the cruddy resolution of the camera phone shot.

This is why I wish we lived by one another....
I need help some days and you need help some days and we both love each others children.
It would be perfect!
That is a hard thing - when all of the kids are at different stages. It was such a relief when Rosie's training wheels came off - now she can keep up with the boys. It will still be awhile before Daisy's training wheels come off. I tried to work with her a few weeks ago and she is just not ready....
We're not even trying with Larien.
