Time for Chopping

Larien, whose hair had grown quite past her shoulders, requested a haircut. Her reasons were simple, she got hot and she hated me pulling out the tangles. I did it as gently as possible, but this is the princess that can feel the pea under a hundred mattresses. If you touch one hair on her head, she knows and feels each whisper-light touch.

I took her to a swanky salon. At least, it looked swanky. The price wasn't swanky. She told the stylist what she wanted. Instead of getting a straight cut, the lady gave her gentle layers and shaped her hair nicely with selective cuts. Towards the end, Larien requested bangs. She got them.

I couldn't get a pretty shot because Larien wanted to be very silly. So, I settled for a plain face shot. Let's see what her hair looks like after she's flopped a thousand times tonight. And, after a day of humidity. And, after climbing out of the pool. Let's just see.

I like it - very 'soft' look. I know what you mean about feeling every whisper touch -- that is SO Daisy. It's a struggle every time I brush hers. She mentioned the other day that she would like her hair cut like Rosie's.... we'll see.
