Inwe asked last week for new running shoes as hers were tight. When we were choosing shoes, she specifically asked for shoes with ties. She chose some black ones with a pink NIKE swoosh. After a few tries at home, she can now tie her shoes.
Her teacher told me a story about the ties. Inwe took off her shoes at lunch. When she put them back on, she asked her teacher to tie the laces. The teacher said, "No, Inwe. You have to try yourself before I help you."
