Ready or not?

At the waterpark there are three pools.

1. Warm, 1 1/2 foot deep baby pool.
2. Zero entry Splash pool that is 4 feet at it's deepest where the two slides end.
3. Lap pool with diving boards, basketball hoop, and large floating alligator for climbing and falling.

Inwe likes numbers two and three. She particularly likes number two because she can stand in all but the deepest part. Plus, she's trying desperately to swim one length of that pool so she can go down the shorter water slide. Tonight, she had her chance.

There were maybe ten to 15 families at the waterpark tonight. I suppose it was because the sky was a bit overcast and that the temperature was only 93 instead of 103 (Fahrenheit). Whatever the reason, the lifeguards were less stressed and more smiley and more accomdating to a nearly5 year old who can swim, but not quite a whole lap of the Splash pool. Phill got them to agree to let Inwe go down the slide. She got up there and froze. I watched her head as she shook it slowly back and forth. Inwe walked back down the stairs.
