Today is the ninth day out of ten that Inwe has not had her thumb in her mouth for any reason. I am amazed. If she makes it until 5pm tomorrow without sucking her thumb the entire family will go to Busch Gardens Williamsburg (Read about last year's visit.).
The agreement had to be altered. The original deal was that if she could go seven days straight we would do the trip. She really goofed one day. Phill wanted to give her another chance since she had made it five and a half days without the thumbsucking. We agreed that if she made it another four days without the dreaded thumb we would still make the trip.
A bandaid on the thumb is enough of a reminder not to put it in her mouth. Also, tonight, Inwe somehow got her lip caught as she was chewing on a marker. It's swollen. She said as we said goodnight to her, "I can't put my thumb in my mouth anyway because my lip hurts too much."

She did it! 10 out of 11 days without that thumb in her mouth. We are very proud of her efforts. We'll be going to Williamsburg on Sunday.

How terrific! I was a thumbsucker too. We girls have to stick together. Anyway, I hope the weather cooperates and you enjoy the park. Hugs.
