I had started the methods for getting Finwe to sleep on his own using the No Cry Sleep Solution when Finwe was about four months. We were doing well when he got a head cold that got him nursing about every hour or so to get through the night. All the work I put into getting him to fall asleep without needing me was lost. So I muddled through trying to do parts of the methods without doing some of the preliminary work--like the sleep journal.
See, I had done a sleep journal when Finwe was four months. However, now I have no idea how he sleeps, when he naps, and how long he goes at night without waking. I just flip him to the other side of me and fall asleep whether he is nursing or not. Part of the No Cry Sleep Solution is to chart how your baby is sleeping. So, I'm trying to do that now--except I keep forgetting to do it at night.
I've got the nap journal down for three days straight. He falls asleep between 9:15-9:40am each morning and sleeps for at least 1.5 hours most days. His next nap if we stay at home is around 2pm. If we don't stay at home (which is Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday due to swim lessons, gymnastics, and swim lessons), he falls asleep around 3 pm and ekes out whatever sleep he can get.
When does he go to bed? Sometimes 7pm, sometimes 9pm. We aren't consistent with him. He's not consistent. We are only consistent with the girls who go to bed at 9pm. Tonight, I am going to do a nighttime journal. I'll let you know how it goes.

I think that's the part I'm stumped on, the sleep journal.
