He's also sleeping pretty well. He actually got himself asleep in his crib for a nap today. Tonight, around 6:45pm I got him to sleep for the night. It's an early bedtime, so the morning may be a very early one.
However, due to the nursing strike I will be staying home tomorrow with Finwe instead of going to Busch Gardens with Phill and the girls. He'll take them all by his lonesome. They will be fine.
Why are Finwe and I staying behind? Let me see if I can list the reasons:
- He won't nurse.
- I don't want to carry around a cooler of breastmilk and deal with the bottles.
- I'm not sure he's getting enough fluids so I don't want to take him to a park in the heat.
- He's not sleeping really well for naps. This makes for a fussy baby.
- I get very stressed with fussy babies.
- When I am stressed, I am not the best mom to the girls. I'm okay, but I'm not the normal "whatever" mom that I can be.
- I don't want to carry around the breast pump.
- There would be no place to pump at the park.
- An amusement park with lots of interesting rides and people is not the place to get a baby back to nursing.
- We don't think he'll take formula (we tried once before).
Of course, this means there will not be pictures of the visit as I am the photographer. However, I will coerce Phill into guest posting about the visit.
