Fry

As I threw on clothes to take the girls to school this morning, I heard Inwe's excited voice from downstairs. "There's baby fish! There's baby fish! You said it would happen and it DID! Come look! Come look! Mommmmmmmmmmy! Come look!"

When I got the the tank I saw nothing where Inwe was pointing. "Are you sure, sweetie?"

She turned her big eyes to me with a look that can only be interpreted as I so know what I'm talking about. "Yes, I saw it. It had black eyes and was wiggling."

"Are you sure it wasn't a piece of dead shrimp?" One of the two remaining ghost shrimp had died a few days earlier. Its companion was eating on it, so we had left the carcass in the tank.

"It wasn't part of the shrimp. It was brown and wiggling like this." Inwe shimmed her body in a fish imitation. "I promise you; there is a baby fish in there."

I still didn't see one and went about gathering the bits and pieces necessary for getting to school. Inwe and Larien were glued to the tank. Phill joined the girls and pronounced, "Yep, there's one there."

With Phill's direction I found one of the three fry. We have baby fish.
