- There is no better feeling than climbing into a bed with fresh sheets. Changing the sheets that morning just isn't the same.
- Shoving a pillow into a case is great for releasing anger.
- Clean sheets = clean start.
- I learned all this from my mother.
This afternoon I was gone from 1:45pm until 6pm. For the first two hours I was coaching T-ball. The next two hours or so I was at a meeting. Phill had help from T while I was gone.
The problems began when Inwe arrived home from T-ball with her trophy. Inwe wanted some time with T but didn't want to share her newly earned trophy. Larien wanted to touch the trophy but didn't want to share T. Can you see the problem here? Larien had a hissy fit.
Phill decided to give some assistance. Larien, now ensconced in her room, demanded clean sheets and began tearing everything off the bed. Phill started to fight the sheet changing ritual. Realizing that he was fighting two generations (and it could be more, my grandmother may have done this as well) of the changing-sheets-at-odd-times gene/behavior, Phill gave in to Larien's demands.
I asked Phill what happened after the clean sheets were on the bed. "Her attitude improved immediately."
I smiled.
"Oh, shut up!" I told you he gets frustrated at the clean sheet ritual.

We have something in common. I love clean sheets. Clean socks (or new socks) are also great!
