We went to the library today. The girls rushed to choose books like it was a basement sale. I had to explain to them that we could spend time choosing the books. We could flip through them, read them even. My daughters get so excited about going to the library. The books that we check out are so random.
I got two types of books for me: smut and literature. A girl's gotta have balance.

My kids have really enjoyed the library this summer. I'm hoping that since they have been reading all summer that the boys won't have any 'transition trouble' getting back into the habit when school starts back next week. 9 days to be exact.
I have also enjoyed some new authors!
I love the library and when I am in town I use it. With all this travel, it's to hard to keep up with return dates and I am afraid I will lose a book while traveling.
I check out odd assortments of books and always lots. I feel like if I don't get to them all it's ok. But not having enough is a real problem - so better to stock up!
Idril misses the library. We used to go every other Saturday and check out 6 books. Yes I know I am very methodical ... if you check out the same number every time it's easy to remember how many you have to return. Now with swim lessons and going to the pool when weather permits the library has slipped on the weekend activity list.
