Cut out my heart

As I was cooking dinner tonight I heard this sentence from the sunroom.

"Inwe! Cut out my heart!"

I had to see what that meant. Inwe and Larien were decorating hearts. Here's how the project went. It was Inwe's idea--all of it.

Inwe drew the hearts on different paper. Each girl colored and decorated their hearts. Inwe cut the hearts out. Larien tried once to cut on the line but didn't do so well. She wouldn't try again. That's why Larien requested someone to cut out her heart.

Inwe's are on the left--there are four of them. Larien's are the five on the left. Larien decorated most of hers with "coconuts".

"What?" Inwe asked. "Coconuts?"

"I mean polka dots."

"Oh. Coconuts are kinda round, too. So it could have been coconuts." Wasn't Inwe quite diplomatic there?

I love that she called them coconuts.

I think your girls are very artistic. I still have the switch plate that they made which is going in the baby's room!
