I bought some Beechnut TableTime foods for Finwe. This was the vegetable soup. Yes, a toddler is supposed to eat it with a spoon. I have no problem with messy kids. Finwe loved it and ate the entire bowl! Of course a serious scrubbing was needed afterwards. I decided on the bath route as the gunk in the folds of his neck was disgusting. Plus, a bath for Finwe is a reset button. When he gets too fussy or too tired--give him a bath--boom! reset!

Was also thinking about a ice pop or popsicle....I know you said he doesn't like cold stuff but maybe the suger will entice?
Your grandmother's philosophy: Give a cranky child a bath or playtime in water and a snack and they will play quietly for some time. It worked too, if you remember your summer visits.
