Peach Orchard Trip

Today we picked peaches at Chiles Peach Orchard in Crozet. It was hot. However, the girls really enjoyed picking the peaches and then enjoying some of the fruit from the farmers' stand at the entrance.

One of the best parts of this orchard is that it is flat, making it quiet accessible for my mother-in-law who doesn't like hills.

There were blackberries for sale, so I bought some. Finwe wanted to try one. I held onto the center part for dear life as he sucked the berry dry. My fingers are still purple. Luckily, his face is not. Later, when we got home I put some in the baby safe feeder. Oh, he loved that. I'll have to start bringing one with me in my bag.

The girls noticed some apples for sale and asked for one. These were summer apples, also called lodi apples. Apparently, these are the best for making applesauce, but both Inwe and Larien liked eating them.

Aaahh he's adorable!! Isabelle smashed up a plum and got it all over her. Which reminds me. I must check to make sure it didn't stain her outfit.
