Well, it was late night if you have kids and one of them is a ten month old who like to go to bed between 7pm and 8pm. But, the girls wanted to go to the pool, Phill wanted to go to the pool, so we went to the pool--until 7:45pm. All was well, so we decided that we could tempt fate, gamble a bit, and eat out at a restaurant.
Now, I'm not talking about a high brow place or even a Thank Applebees It's Ruby Friday's. We chose a seeped in grease place--Captain Long John D's or something like that. Phill wanted clams. The girls are tired of chicken nuggets.
Everything went well. The girls had corn dog nuggets. I had fish. Phill had clams. Finwe had some fries, 3/4s of a piece of fried fish and three hushpuppies. Only about a small handful ended up on the floor. I may just have a "garbage disposal" eater in Finwe. I certainly didn't get that with the girls. Larien will eat anything that is a fruit (except tomatoes), so that is good. Inwe loves carrots and lettuce, so I shouldn't complain. They both like okra, which makes them official southerners. I'll have to work on the collard greens and cornbread, because that truly puts a girl in the southern mold.
And, just for Auntie J, Finwe likes biscuits.
