Sunday morning I gave the girls a bath. That afternoon we went to the pool. Larien asked to have her hair braided. "Two of them, please." She looks very cute in her pigtails, so I braided her hair. She usually asks to have them undone at bedtime. Sunday she wanted the braids left in.
On Monday, she wanted the braids left in.
On Tuesday, she wanted the braids left in. We went to the pool that day as well. The girls should have had a bath, but it was too late after the fireworks.
I asked Larien this morning if she wanted me to take the braids out. "No, Mommy. Leave them in."

When my sister and I were little (actually older than your girls), we loved getting our hair in double french braids. We also hated having to take baths, especially in the summer (for reasons that now escape me). My mother says that we were convinced swimming (which we did every day, practically all day in the summer) was the equivalent of a bath. It's cute with little girls, but it still makes you go "ewwww."
