I'm standing

This morning Finwe surprised Phill by crawling to the chair that we call Larien's chair and pulling to a stand. He's been pulling to a stand using our hands and our bodies when we lay on the ground, but that isn't the same as grabbing an object that doesn't involuntarily help him up.

Phill's report is that Finwe stood there moving back and forth for about ten minutes. Inwe would add that Finwe lowered himself down as well. "He didn't fall, Mommy! He sat down. He meant to do it!"

Larien was quite unhappy that Finwe was using her chair as his support and whined the entire time. Phill and I countered by moving her chair nearer Inwe's chair and putting the chair that no one has claimed into Larien's spot. At first, she wasn't happy with the move, but she's warmed up to it.
